About Tyre Stocks

Tyre Stocks Ltd. started trading on 24/07/2006 on a site well known in Gosport as the ex - Chessington Tyres site. Chessington Tyres operated from this site for over 20 years and were well known for offering quality service at reasonable prices before being bought out and closed down by a larger tyre distributor.

Dave Stocks (Managing Director) started working in the tyre trade at the tender age of 14 at a local garage as a 'Saturday boy' covering every weekend and most school holidays.

By the time he left school he had 2 years experience in tyre fitting and walked straight into his first full time job right here at Chessington Tyres. Trained to 'City & Guilds' level and still following 'old school' routine such as using a torque wrench to tighten wheel nuts/bolts to the vehicle manufacturers specification.

Dave now has over 24 years experience and knowledge to offer his customers as well as a mature and professional personality.

Ian Titcombe (despite being much older than Dave) came into the tyre trade much later in life and can offer 4 years experience. His honest and trustworthy personality is evident in the service and advice he gives his customers. Committed to quality service he has equalled Daves enthusiasm to succeed.

Both Dave and Ian are keen motorcyclists and are therefore glad to be able to offer professional tyre fitting facilities to motorcyclists as well as car, van and 4x4 drivers.
